  • health report manager

    Health Report Manager (HRM) enables hospitals and specialty clinics to deliver patient reports securely to clinicians’ EMRs. This means medical record reports and diagnostic imaging reports can be sent electronically moments after they are transcribed. HRM also includes eNotifications to deliver ADT messages from hospitals to EMRs. HRM has been estimated to save Ontario’s health care system $36 million annually in cost avoidance.     In the 2018-2019 fiscal year, we introduced our Insights4Care (i4C) Program, including our innovative, real-time EMR-integrated i4C Dashboard and hands-on practice support for clinicians and their staff through the i4C Advisory Service. In the coming year, we look forward to advancing data quality and patient care by offering both this tool and OntarioMD’s proven change management support to clinicians across Ontario, regardless of geographic location and EMR.   • eConsult Deployment

    eConsult gives clinicians timely access to specialist advice and often eliminates the need to send patients for an in-person specialist visit. In addition to deploying eConsult on behalf of the Ontario eConsult Program, OntarioMD has led a pilot to integrate eConsult with clinicians’ EMRs. In 2018-2019, our pilot demonstrated that EMR integration enhances the proven clinical value of eConsult by saving clinicians time and improving workflow, which results in increased eConsult use.   • Our online EMR Progress Assessment (EPA) tool is designed to help clinicians understand their current EMR use and understand how else they could be using their EMR and related health care technology to further improve their practice efficiency and patient outcomes. The data provided by completed EPAs also helps OntarioMD customize our change management support to help clinicians reach their goals faster. Learn more about EPA.

    Putting powerful tools in clinicians’ hands is only part of the recipe for system change. That’s why OntarioMD supports clinician practices to realize clinical value through the EMR and health technology they adopt. Our field staff and Peer Leaders work hands-on with clinicians to ensure their EMR data is optimized, so it can be used to improve patient care and outcomes.
